Grand Central Bakery in Portland is proud to sponsor the Portland Parks & Recreation summer series Concerts in the Park. A free event for all ages, concerts are held on most summer evenings in July and August at multiple parks throughout Portland. A great way to entertain the whole family, we hope to see you there! Burien Café Opening

We are pleased to announce that Grand Central Bakery in Burien will open its doors Friday, August 20, 2010. Located in the heart of downtown Burien, this bakery-café will offer the same menu items that have become so popular at our other locations including handmade pastries and desserts, daily soups and gourmet sandwiches. To celebrate the opening, we will be donating a portion of the opening day's proceeds to the Highline Area Food Bank and the Highline Schools Foundation for Excellence. Preserving the Harvest with Laura Ohm

through the Office of Sustainability, Grand Central Bakery's Cuisine Manager Laura Ohm will be holding a series of classes to teach you how to get the most out of your CSA, backyard garden or farmers market haul! Held at Grand Central Portland's Fremont location, each class will include a variety of demos, hands-on activities, samples and recipes.
